Date of Accident:  9.9.2006

Time between formal instruction and successful conclusion:  2½ years

How the claim proceeded:  The nightclub’s insurers strongly denied that they were responsible for the accident throughout the claim.

Were Court proceedings necessary?:  Yes – the claim continued to be resisted and we felt that our client had reasonable prospects of succeeding if the issues had to be decided by a Judge at trial.

Was a trial necessary?:  A date for a trial was set, and a few days before this was due to take place an acceptable settlement offer was made.
