He sustained several injuries, the most serious by far was a broken elbow.  The fracture did heal, but despite physiotherapy treatment he was left with a 20% reduction in movement of the elbow, which will be permanent.  We were able to recover personal injury compensation for him of just under £11,500.

Comment:  When the driver of the vehicle was breathalysed, he was found to be over the legal limit.  This accident could so easily have been avoided had he not driven whilst under the influence of alcohol.  Instead, by recklessly driving when his ability was impaired by the amount of alcohol he had drunk, our client suffered unnecessary injuries and inconvenience.
